HSC Vocational English Suggestions Grammar (4 X 6 = 24)

Transform the following sentence as directed:

Doing the work, he went out (compound)> He did the work and went out.

The boy is lazy (negative)> The boy is not active.

Time flies very fast (exclamatory)> How time does fly!

English is a foreign language (negative)> English is not a native language.

We must learn English (complex)> It is English that we must learn.

Everybody knows the truth (interrogative)> Who doesn’t know the truth?

Every one wish to be happy (interrogative)> Who does not wish to be happy?

If I were a bird! (assertive)> I wish I were a bird.

You should read attentively (imperative)> Read attentively.
